Salt and Iron tops the list as a “great casual, romantic place in beautiful downtown Edmonds and “a great place to take a date.” The steak and seafood restaurant and cocktail bar is an easy walk from the waterfront.
Epulo Bistro is up next. “Very romantic but busy.” Maybe it’s because the food is so good, like the pot roast with pappardelle noodles in cream sauce, and cocktail specials such as inexpensive Moscow Mules at Happy Hour.
Cafe de Paris serves up unpretentious French fare. As one reviewer put it: “Relax and take the time to enjoy a leisure dinner in a quiet, romantic and elegant setting. No hype. No hurry.”
What’s more romantic than a sunset view? Nothing, really. Arnies Restaurant, with a seafood restaurant, bar and views of Puget Sound wins the day.
With specialty drinks and “excellent appetizers”, next to Scratch Distillery on the waterfront, 190 Sunset has a contemporary setting with a full bar and deck seating. Look for a Valentine’s Day Four Course meal and make your reservations.
Demetri’s Woodstone Taverna on Main Street near the ferry dock doesn’t disappoint with “atmosphere and vibe,” good service and great food and a stunning view from the deck. And, ahem, did we mention it’s romantic. Maybe it’s the view, but Yelp reviewer “J R.” from California met her man here… “it's magical! Namely because I serendipitously met my beautiful man here for the first time! We're now expecting a baby girl in May 2018 :-D”. How’s that for a testimonial!?
FIVE Restaurant | Bistro gets high points as “the perfect spot for a romantic dinner” with its chandelier lighting and a patio. This small and intimate local restaurant is easily missed in its strip mall setting, but worth the find.
Bucatini is up next as a “lovely place for a romantic dinner : )”. Serving “fabulous food in abundant portions,” this rustic Italian joint gets great reviews.
Caravan Kebab is a “hidden gem” serving Mediterranean, Indiana and European food for lunch and dinner. Perhaps it’s the “warm and impeccably gracious hospitality” that gives the romantic vibe, or the food that keeps people coming back to try everything on the menu.
Bar Dojo is tenth on the list, though its ratings are as high as any in Edmonds. For some, this is the “go-to place” that’s so good one reviewer wants to tattoo her neck in their honor. “Ridiculously good” Asian Fusion cuisine emphasizes local and sustainable sources. Craft cocktails are the rave here, too.
