Despite the pandemic, there are plenty of ways to be festive and safely enjoy the holiday season in Edmonds.

Edmonds Holiday Market begins Nov. 7

If you are missing the summer market we have good news! The annual Edmonds Holiday Market continues through Dec. 19, excluding Thanksgiving weekend, from 10 am to 3 pm. The market is  outdoors on Fifth Avenue between City Hall and the Edmonds Historical Museum. More than 50 vendors will ensure a bustling market, bringing everything from cured meats, preserved foods and cheeses, to baked goods and sweets. Check off your holiday shopping list, too, with wine, jewelry, pottery, and many specialty gift items.

NEW! Edmonds Wreath Walk through Dec. 31

With the pandemic canceling the popular monthly Edmonds Art Walk, a new idea was born to both celebrate the arts and the holiday season.

Art Walk Edmonds, unable to host their popular, monthly art walks, is the force behind a brand new event for the holidays: Wreath Walk Edmonds. The original, artist-designed and decorated pieces will hang inside select stores during the holiday season, beginning Nov. 7 and running till the last day of the year.

A picture of the wreaths, their location, and the artists’ biographies will be included on the Art Walk Edmonds website.

A seasonal scavenger hunt will be taking place in conjunction with the Wreath Walk  through Dec. 7, and a second scavenger hunt will be announced for December very soon. Stay tuned for details on

First Dibs returns Friday, Nov. 27  through Dec. 6

One of the much anticipated holiday traditions in town, First Dibs is the event where the small businesses in Edmonds open their doors inviting people to get “first dibs” on all of their wonderful seasonal merchandise and specials. Attendees can get a jump-start on your shopping list and enjoy a special gift with your $45 purchase while you support local merchants and make progress on your gift list. Each of the 30 participating businesses will offer a unique gift with purchase and supplies are limited!

There will be 31 merchants and restaurants participating this season, and instead of just one evening it will last for 10 days! The fun begins on Shop Small Saturday after Thanksgiving and will run through Sunday, Dec. 6. This allows the number of shoppers and diners to be spread out over a longer time period and alleviates the typical congestion of just one night.

NEW! Nightly Tree Lighting

A new holiday tradition, you are invited to come down to Centennial plaza and enjoy holiday music and the lighting of the Edmonds holiday tree at 5 pm every night throughout the season.
