“Every farmers market reflects the community it serves. The Edmonds Museum Summer Market has evolved over the last 25+ years to showcase the best of Washington, with an emphasis on local, Snohomish County-based businesses. Each vendor brings with them the pride and joy of presenting products either grown or made by themselves. We at the Edmonds Museum Summer Market endeavor to find the balance between providing Edmonds with a large, diverse farmers market, while keeping the atmosphere family-friendly and community-based.”
—Christina Martin, market manager
Edmonds Saturday Summer Market is a huge draw for restaurant chefs, home cooks, foodies, and just about everyone else wanting in on the diverse, fresh open-market scene… a bustling, lively destination unto itself.
You can plan entire menus around what's in season at market destinations everywhere.
The market — founded by the Edmonds Historical Museum in 1984 — carries just about everything your heart desires, made and grown in Washington. It averages between 90-95 vendors (including nine new ones) every week this season.
“All our vendors must grow or make their products themselves here in Washington,” according to market manager Christina Martin. “Also, all vendors — farmers, artists, processors — are independent, small, Washington family businesses.”
Jewel-toned, sun-kissed berries. Museum-quality, crystalline flowers, forever in bloom. Predatory Perennials’ real meat-eating plants (“Feed me, Seymour!”). Darren and Janine’s Gypsy Rows Farm’s Schoolbus brimming over with nature’s bounty. Smoked salmon from Wilson Fish Markets. Bubba’s Salsa. Sky Valley eggs. Lopez Island Vineyards’ award-winning raspberry wine. Kirsti’s Junebug Ferments kim chi and sauerkraut. Culture Shock kombucha.

The summer market, which kicked off June 19, runs every Saturday through Oct. 9, 9 a.m.-2 p.m., in downtown Edmonds on 5th St. from the water fountain on Main St. all the way to Bell St. between 5th and 6th Ave. N. around Centennial Plaza.
"Though most of our vendors come every week, about 10-20 percent of the spaces are utilized by part-time vendors who may only come once or twice a season, or more."
The mostly volunteer market unveiled a new layout this season, spreading the vendors out on 5th Ave. to the sides of the street.
Vendors like Frog Song Farm, Martin Family Orchards, Alvarez Organic Farms, Collins Family Orchards, CA Brille handmade jewelry (“Jocelyn comes to market every week with her beautiful handmade jewelry. She has been with the market since it opened in 1984”), and Pete’s Perfect Toffee have served the community for 20 years or more.
"The market is a magical place that showcases what a wonderful community Edmonds is, while supporting small family farms."
Other notable vendors, old and new, include Elemental Fe lightning-forged kitchen knives, St. Jude Tuna, Well Fed Farms (organic produce, farm-raised pork and chicken), Breadmonds Bakery (seeded, multi-grain sourdough, Tillamook Cheese Loaf, Olive Fougasse), Greenwood Cider Company, Arturo’s Fotogafia Artistica photography from all over the world, Bow Hill Organic Blueberries (jams, ice cream, syrups), Karmela Botanica soaps, salves, lotions, Neng Garden, Shambala Ancient Grain (gluten-free) Bakery, La Pasta, Jesse Kelly Glass and Everbloomin Glass Flowers yard art, Metalwings, Flying Tomato, and Vespucci wood-fired pizza.
