On April 22, the Edmonds Waterfront Center will host a Virtual Opening event with a Panel Discussion & Luncheon. Pre-order your meal from the Potlatch Bistro, pre-register to attend, and then kick-back to see the beautiful building and learn about the programs to benefit the community.

The sustainable community facility is owned by the Edmonds Senior Center, holding a 55-year ground lease with the City of Edmonds for the property. Seniors will be served with health and wellness programs and meals. The Center will operate a thrift shop, multipurpose rooms and a commercial kitchen. The city’s parks department will also have use of the facility.

The beautiful building catches the setting sun in its westward facing glazing, the perfect place to hold weddings and private events. Currently, the center’s wellness programs are over Zoom, but the building is available for weddings for fewer than 30 people.

Inside, the Community Lounge floods with natural light from the floor to ceiling windows towering nearly 30 feet high. The Community Lounge is oriented to take full advantage of the breathtaking views of the ferry, the Puget Sound and the Olympic mountains.

The Potlatch Bistro coffee kiosk on the north end of the Community Lounge also has an outdoor service window for lattes, bakery goods and drinks. The Bistro serves both the community members and seniors.

The Senior Lunch Program is based on a Community Café model; Community members order off the Potlatch Bistro market price menu and dine with residents who are enjoying the subsidized senior lunch program.
