Several local bars and restaurants including Kelnero, Bar Dojo, Salt & Iron, the Market, Shore Pine Coffee & Gelato, Fire & the Feast, Charcoal, Santa Fe, and Calypso will offer Lunar New Year themed food and drink specials.

Lunar New Year Edmonds grew out of a discussion among members of the Edmonds Diversity Commission about the importance of representation in city recognized holiday celebrations. A group of Edmonds community members and business owners formed a planning group to launch the first annual Edmonds Lunar New Year celebration in January 2022, despite the myriad challenges presented by the Covid-19 pandemic.

Following the overwhelming success of that Lunar New Year event, the event organizers formed a new non-profit, Multicultural Association of Edmonds (MAE). MAE seeks to empower the diverse cultural communities of our city to share their traditions and celebrations.
